Joseph Craig worked on the railways all his life as did his father before him. The recording begins with his description of the work of his father, who joined the Midland and Western Railway in 1923, and settled in Drumshambo, where coal was loaded onto wagons. Joseph’s account of his own work during the Emergency period was fascinating to record.
