Track 1: Susan Griffith traces her ancestors back to Ballinadee and earlier family to Richordstown Clonakilty, Rathealy Fermoy, and Youghal. Her grandfather George Lucas fought in the Boer War with the South Cork Militia. She also traces her Sherlock family. Track 2: The relocation of her grandparents from Ballinadee to Kinsale. She recalls younger days growing up in Ballinadee. Track 3: The 18th Royal Irish Regiment and her father Thomas, who fought in both World Wars. Track 4: Ardbrack House, originally built by the Daunt family, and purchased by Susan’s father in 1946. He retired to Ardbrack House on his discharge from the Army. Susan’s memories of her days growing up in Kinsale as an only child and her father’s interest in botany and archaeology. Track 5: She recalls other local families, the houses they occupied and her visits there. Track 6: Sporting life in the area. Track 7: Her education in Kinsale, Rochelle, Lawnside and Alexandra College in Dublin. Track 8: Memories of harvest days, threshing and the gatherings. Track 9: An old photograph album and some anecdotal stories.
