Track 1: Growing up in Youghal, Co Cork in the 1930s and 1940s. He describes his education and his ordination. His appointment to Nigeria in 1959, and the journey to Lagos. Track 2: His appointment to Jos, Northern Nigeria, a town at high altitude, where he was to remain for 20 years. He also describes the coming of independence to the country and the great celebrations at that time, in the 1960s. Track 3: He describes his time teaching in CMI, Kafanchan, working with different religious groups, mostly Catholic and promoting sport. Track 4: He talks about the missioners who paved his way and the difference between then and now in conducting missionary work. He describes his appointment as Provincial Counsellor, moving around Africa. Track 5: He discusses the customs and beliefs of the tribal people, and how he interacted with them. He also talks about the role of the missionary in Africa.
