Track 1: Growing up in Ennis, Co. Clare, in the 1920s and 30s. His background, education and joining the Redemptorists. His seminary years and ordination in 1954. Track 2: First appointment to the Philippines in 1956. Assignment to Cebu. He discusses the building of a church there in Dumaguete, Negros Oriental. The difficulties in learning the culture and language, and having left Ireland at such a young age. Track 3: He talks about serving the local community over the years in rural areas especially in Mindanao and Davao City. Track 4: He describes his experience of being kidnapped by the Muslims. He talks about another missionary priest, Fr Gerard Pierse, and his great bravery with the Muslims. Track 5: His second long-term appointment to Copenhagen in Denmark. He discusses helping the Filipinos to integrate into Danish society. Track 6: The time he spent working in prisons, both in the Philippine islands and in Copenhagen.
