Tony O’Callaghan farms the land at Abbeydorney and has a passion for local history. He spoke at Kerry Co. Library Tralee during Heritage Week 2003 on the Cistercians at Kyrie Eleison Abbey in Abbeydorney and was recorded at that time by Irish Life and Lore. He discussed the oral and the written history of the monks who lived and worked in the Abbey during their time there from the year 1154.
